Spheris Climbs in 2006 Rankings of Healthcare IT Companies

TOP 20 For Revenue, TOP 10 For Growth

FRANKLIN, Tenn. — July 12, 2006 — Spheris, a leading global provider of medical transcription technology and services, has climbed to number 19 among the world's largest healthcare IT companies. The 2006 rankings were published in the June issue of Healthcare Informatics, which charts the top 100 companies in the industry in terms of overall revenue and percentage of growth.

This is the first year that Spheris has reached the TOP 20. Last year, Spheris was listed at number 28, up from the 35th position in 2004. Spheris is once again ranked in the TOP 10 for growth among healthcare IT companies. This year, the company was listed at number 9, which makes three consecutive years in the TOP 10.
