Introduction to Spheris Clarity™ Complete

Clarity™ Complete provides HIM professionals and operations support team members with a comprehensive document management suite. It offers immediate access to dictation and transcribed documents and a dashboard of job-monitoring tools that include management reporting, a robust search engine, and synchronized voice and text for ease of document editing. Transcribed documents with deficiencies can be processed through editing before upload and further distribution to ensure a complete and accurate document is delivered.

Clarity Complete Features:

  • Electronic Document Access: HIM and other support staff can access documents via Clarity Complete and search for dictation and documents by criteria.

  • Management Reports: On-demand access to generated reports that provide a comprehensive view of all dictation and transcription activity — workload detail, TAT, and physician compliance. A reconciliation report is available to monitor the status of each job including print, authentication and upload delivery.

  • HIM Inbox: Consolidated listing of documents containing flags that prevent the complete processing of the job (missing patient demographics, inaudible dictation, unknown cc recipient, and others). Users can assign flag types to specific users for efficient work flow and issue resolution. The application supports single-click access to transcribed documents and voice from the document list.

  • Flexible Presentation: Based on their roles, users are presented with a home page upon login that summarizes account information in a single dashboard. Users can customize the layout to their personal preferences and informational needs.

  • User Management: Users with appropriate access can create, modify and inactivate users, including physicians and HIM support staff. This feature supports cloning of existing users and creation of teams with similar roles. Individual users have the ability to manage their own passwords, including the use of key security questions for users who forget their password.

  • Document Distribution: Clarity supports the automated distribution of preliminary and final (signed in Clarity Care) documents to multiple destinations – including departmental printers, autofax, direct printing to the nursing station, and upload to hospital information systems. The application also supports on-demand printing to any network printer.

  • Robust Search Options: Users have multiple options to search the database for individual documents or groups of documents based on specific criteria. These searches can be saved for regular use and shared with other team members. All search results can be exported to Excel for further analysis.

  • Secure, Web-based application: Individuals can access Clarity Complete from any computer with an Internet connection. Role-based authentication,128-bit SSL data encryption and strong password support combine to ensure patient data access is tightly controlled and secure.
