Addressing Health Facilities’ Needs
Clarity Capture:
User-friendly dictation
Introduction to Spheris Clarity Capture:
Clarity Capture is Spheris’ industry-leading dictation system that supports virtually all voice-capture technologies — including telephone, digital recorder, PDA and PC-based voice recordings, as well as associations with patient demographics.
Clarity Capture is an extremely reliable, cost-effective and fully customizable solution, adapting to each physician’s/author’s dictation preferences, including the flexibility to dictate anywhere at any time.
Utilizing innovative technologies such as speech recognition, Clarity Capture brings clarity to the clinical documentation process by helping to ensure quality documentation from the time the voice is captured.
Clarity Capture Advantages:
- Increases flexibility in dictation device options
- Reduces telephony charges through use of VOIP, PC Dictate and other dictation options
- Minimizes hardware costs
- Reduces or eliminates training required for dictating physicians
Clarity Capture Features:
- Wide range of dictation device support: Standard telephones, dictation stations, VOIP, wireless devices, PDAs, Converge devices and PC-based dictation.
- Intuitive PDA/Smart Phone application: The intuitive hand-held dictation application, designed by physicians for use by physicians, offers real-time integration with outpatient schedules or inpatient censuses. It allows the physician to select a patient from a list and begin dictating immediately without manual entry of patient information.
- Dictation Placeholders/EHR Integration: Through EHR integration, physicians can invoke the Spheris PC Dictate application to create a voice file specific to a section of the patient record. The text is then returned to the appropriate patient record section via a dictation placeholder. This eliminates the need for a physician to dictate the entire patient encounter.
- PACS Integration: Through PACS integration, radiologists can view the image on a PC monitor and dictate using a microphone attached to the PACS workstation. No manual entry of patient information is required.
- Speech recognition support: Voice files are routed to medical language specialists for validation and editing via Clarity Convert (for physicians) or Cornerstone. Cornerstone is Spheris’ highly accurate, continuously learning medical transcription platform, powered by back-end speech recognition.
- Customized key commands by physician: Physicians have one profile across all sites; commands can be customized to match each physician’s preference, making dictation system changes transparent.
- Dictation reference number: Provided to physicians upon dictation completion or on demand, and useful for physicians and health information management staff in tracking dictations.
- Highly scalable, highly reliable: A robust dictation system proven to support thousands of simultaneously dictating physicians with 99.9 percent uptime, ensuring 24/7/365 availability.
